LAST FRIDAY: They came, they rocked, they packed the place out AND they will be back! .Thee Marshmallow Overcoat have left the building, ladies and gentlemen, not in a Aretha kind of way!! ( RIP Beautiful Aretha ) What a momentous moment of moments when Melbourne’s Musical Royalty AND the happiest band in the universe , in the form of Ash, Davey and Wolfie came up the stairway to heaven and took us on a trip down memory lane. Phew! Thanks lads xx
THIS FRIDAY: THE BREADMAKERS will not only be taking us down memory lane, we’ll also be having a acid flashback … Personal experience. The story is way too long to put in here, but it did involve some mushrooms and I think it was the Punters Club … Anyway, enough of that. We are pretty excited about this gig and so are a whole lot of other 50-something year-olds about the Breadies coming North to play. Almost 30 years this band have been pumpin’ out the swampy sounds, feels like yesterday. Also pretty pleased that POLLYMAN, in the form of George and Fenn Wilson, are coming to play the first set at 8.30. Now that will be a great set . BOOK here for the Breadmakers and POLLYMAN
BAR: Nothing really to report except our Ann-Margret Hip Swivels are a Hit. For those who don’t know who Ann-Margret is (no she’s not one of the Royals) take a look here and click on the link: Ann-Margret
SIGNING OFF: It’s Yasou from me and the Kastoria gang for another week and a big Yasou from my beautiful Greek landlords who are keen for another Greek night … now THAT’S something you don’t want to miss. More on that later.
Ending with a thank you, thank you, thank you to all the music lovers who come up the stairs and FULL respect to the amazing and talented musicians who come and play at the club and make this all possible. Big cowboys hats off to The KMC Gang , Angie, Mandy ,James, Izzy . AND a big Mexican Sombrero off to Jen Huntley for our beautiful Posters , as you can see they are works of ART !!
Well It seems Fridays come round quicker than our politicians change leadership, so if you’re sick of the Kastoria Hysteria please unsubscribe and forever be wondering about what goes on up on top of Coburg Hill (between Woolies and the Big 4 Caravan Park). Otherwise stay on board the good ship Kastoria and enjoy the ride xx
