LAST WEEEEEEK : Tanya-Lee Davies has done it again . That sassy songstress has pulled off another TOP class show along with Launching her brand new album The Duetting Damsel out into the world. LOVE was Omnipresent when Tanya , her band , and ALL her Gentlemen Friends sang and played . The room was a wash with Love and admiration for the Boy-Girl-Girl-Boy DUET . THIS WEEK : Zulya and the Children of the Underground … Oh wow this gig will transport you to a Tango Room in Berlin between wars . It’ll be Kurt Wellish , Euro Cabaret and Jazz Colliding up on the RED stage at the Kastoria . Zulya with her smouldering vocals and her amazing band are just back from their tour of Russia and are ready to play and entertain YOU . Book here

BAR : Nothing to report behind the bar except that the Bingo Room downstairs has has a mini makeover and we should be calling it the Bongo room !

NEWSFLASH: Barry Morgan has had to cancel his Christmas meltdown on the 23rd due to unforeseen JOB entrenchment/enrichment  ! For those who booked check your CC details and you’ll see you’ve already been fully Re-funded …Barry apologises to you all and looks forward to coming up next year for his ‘ EASTER Bunny ORGANS Feast Show ‘ !!!?  In Barry’s place Davey Lane has stepped in to play hits and cuts from his 2 albums plus plenty of surprises .. LAST WEEK : The Doctor needed a Doctor when Sally Ford was struck down with  Pneumonia last week . We all had the night off and so did Dr Hernandez . Get better soon Sally , we look forward to RE-scheduling  our appointment with Dr Hernandez in 2019 .xxx

NEXT WEEK : November (eeeek already) 2nd …TANYA-LEE DAVIES with her Gentlemen Friends . I know i keep raving about this gig but it really will be sensational . All those boys on one night !! Benny Peters , Matt Walker , Steve Lucas , Alex Buxton and Continental Robert Susz .. Its the Duetting Damsels Duets Album Launch PART  1.. Have a little listen for yourself ! Its only part 1 because there are 14 boy singers on this Album so there has to be a PART 2 and even a 3 .. Imagine the logistics of booking all 14 lads on the one night !!! probability ‘Impossible’ !! Tanya-Lee has 5 of the 14  handsome boys this  Friday and her Soldiers of Love Band , aren’t we LUCKY .. Better BOOK here ! 

BAR : I must admit it was nice to have the night off .. The Coat Rack Kids were wrapped , I got some gardening done and James the handsome barman put his feet up at another BAR !!

Wanna say thank you for signing in and up and coming up the stairway to heaven and making every Friday night a party . LAST WEEK : Cookin on 3 Burners were cookin on 4 Burners . In fact they were cookin on a big industrial 6 burner . YEP they were cookin and we all got cooked! Fried in fact,hard boiled and roasted ! Then when Stella came on stage she made us all boil over and she nearly burnt the house down to the ground , that girl can sing and some . It was a big hammond driven , wah wah funkin good party.. Thanks Jake Mason, Dan West ,Stella Angelico and Dan the drummer ..xxx They will be coming back Club side in April 2019 ! Heres a photo of their HOT new album ..

THIS WEEK : Friday 26th October … More dancing to be done when the Doctor hits the stage . This band will make you want to move it move it . Sally Ford has a gift of creating one great band after another and Dr Hernandez would have to be one of her greatest. We cant wait to get our scripts filled with their Electro , Cumbia, Funky Boogaloo style medicine . Book your appointment NOW …..

BAR :  James the handsome barman has done it again .Staying cool and calm , even when the ice ran out . Lucky woolies is just down the road so the Mojitos could go on and on and on . Nothing like a Hot spring night and a big bag of limes from Diamond Creek to get a party going  …( thanks Phil and Ruth ) Oh and Mint from the garden  x

FRIDAY 30TH NOVEMBER : Belmar Records are launching their first TRINGLE .. Whats a Tringle ? Its three songs on a single .. And i happen to have written and feature on two of the three songs .. So yep its my turn for a gig at the Club , i had to squeeze one more in for myself before the end of the year .. Last time Flip Your Wig played at the club it was a sell out SHOW . The dance floor was hot and sweaty and the band cranked . BOOF wont be disappointing in the dance off department either . And Monique Shelford has done a excellent cover of a classic from GREASE .. it’ll be a great night of great music by great musicians , GREAT !! Book here

FRIDAY 7TH DECEMBER : Ross McLennan is coming and so is his 10 piece band . We are so lucky to have them back to play , can you imagine the logistics of getting them all together . Lucky they all love Ross’s songs and love playing in his band . It was a sell out show last time and i’m sure it’ll be the same this time . LAST WEEK: Oh Wow , wow, wow … The Kastoria went Folk folks , in fact it was a funkin Folk off . Starting with Violet Kelly (12yrs) blowing us all away with her incredible powerful voice and very funny banter in between tunes . It was Violets first gig and she was soooo good . The future of the Melbourne music scene is in good hands . Then is was Kate and Nat’s turn ( Coda Chroma ) ,who took us to places in the melody/harmony world that i’d never been before . Incredible to say the least ! Thank you ladies.  AND then of course those beautiful teenage sisters Mabel and Ivy , who are Charm of Finches . They set our hearts a flutter with their beautiful songs , harmonies and outfits .Two words to say , spine tingling !Thank you COF xx

THIS WEEK : Friday 19th October : Cookin on 3 Burners with Stella Angelico !! This is a gig not to miss . The dance floor will be cleared ,moped prepped and polished all ready for your dancing pleasure . It’ll be a night of heavy hitting Hammond Organ along with the Deep Funk, Raw Soul, Organ Jazz & Boogaloo. If you haven’t seen Cookin’ on 3 Burners live, you’re in for a treat. LAST WEEK: Kylie Kylie Kylie oh what a gal . We funked , we Souled and we Disco-ed the night away . Kylie Auldist is a powerhouse of a performer and puts any athlete to shame with two huge one hour sets and i recon she could have kept them coming . Kylie just exudes so much joy and party vibes it was hard not to get on board (hic) . Along side her was her beautiful sister and with a band of incredible musicians these guys know how to make it a PARTY ..Thanks Kylie xxx

THIS WEEK : FRIDAY October 12th .. Charm of Finches are Melbourne’s teen sister duo, aka Mabel and Ivy Windred-Wornes. ‘ LISTEN ‘They sing in dreamy harmony about heartbreak, solitude and whispering trees.The award-winning teens began singing Appalachian folk songs outside their local veggie shop every Saturday morning from the ages of 11 and 8. Harmony singing has always been a kind of game, weaving melodies around in an attempt to surprise the other. Along side that they also play a great selection of instruments ie: Guitar, uke, glockenspiel, fiddle and cello .

The girls will be supported by Kate and Nat from Coda Chroma ‘ LISTEN ‘, who are another duo with incredible talent .Beautiful melodic songs with more harmonies and stunning musicianship . And a very special early set at 8pm from 12 yr old Violet Kelly ,who is a local musician with a huge amount of talent . We cant wait to support her in her first proper paid gig .. So all in all its an all girl line up that we are very proud and pleased about . BOOK here for Charm of Finches.

BAR :  Well not much to report from behind the Party Bar except that its out with the Mulled Cider and Its in with the Aperol Spritz , oh and the Mojitos . hic ! The Dark and Stormy’s are still  going strong and our Espresso Martinis are always a popular choice for the Friday night energy slump-sters ..hic

YASOU : Toodle ooh for another week of Crazy Kastorian Chaos . Some nights  it feels a bit Faulty Towers up there ,and this week was no exception . We had a stray dog run up the stairs who ended up on stage for a second and then our cat followed us all the way to the club from home and wanted to come in .. Really gotta get that Cat a key ! So as they say , all good in the garden if the roots aren’t severed and as i like to say alls good in the Club if the beer is cold . Yep the Fridges are still chugging along !
